Is Washing Your Clothes Actually Making them Dirtier?

I do my laundry at my mom’s house.

I’m 39 years old, and yeah, some people might say that is a bit old to rely on my mom’s laundry machine, but I am a single mother myself, and it is so convenient not to have to go to the laundromat with my two kids tow.

That, and when I do my laundry at my mom’s place, I get the chance to say hi to her, which she always appreciates.

But then, I started noticing something odd. I’d get my laundry and it would smell bad. Like mildew and rot.

It started to get so every time I did laundry, my clothes smelled worse than the last time.

I pointed it out to my mom and she just shrugged, “The machine is new,” she said, “Nothing I can do about it.”

The next time I went over her house, I ran the machine with just bleach, expecting that would kill the smell and clean the laundry machine.

It didn’t work.

I complained to my mom again, “My kids are going to school smelling bad, I don’t want them to be bullied. Can’t you figure out what is causing the smell?”

My mom just shrugged, “You can do your laundry at a laundromat if it bothers you that much.”

There was no way I was going to start going to a Laundromat though. I had to figure it out myself.

That’s when a great idea struck me: I would go to a laundromat! But only to ask the workers how they clean their laundry machines. If I cleaned my mom’s laundry machine like a professional, there would be no way there would be a stinky smell!

At the laundromat, I spoke to a worker, Mario.

“How do you keep the laundry machines clean?” I asked him, pretending as if I was interested in using the laundromat to clean my laundry.

“We use FinallyFresh,” he said, “They’re washing machine cleaning tablets.

“They work professionally to last throughout an entire hot cycle, disinegrating slowly

“It foams so that the soap gets underneath residue, washing it away, to make the washer smell fresh and clean.

“We tried other washing machine cleaning tablets, but FinallyFresh is the best price and also the only one that uses surfactant chemistry to tackle the root cause of washing machine smells.

“What is the root cause?” I asked, curious.

“Bacteria,” Mario shuddered, “Washing machines are humid so are the perfect place for bacteria to live in multiply! It was even on the news a few months ago that someone got sick from dirty laundry at a laundromat that didn’t clean their washers properly.

“We clean our washers perfectly with FinallyFresh,” he added.

“Thanks for info!” I said, leaving.

“Where are you going!?” he said, “Aren’t you going to clean your laundry here?”

I laughed, “Nope, sorry!”

As soon as I got home I looked up the reviews for FinallyFresh, wanting to be sure they worked before spending my money.

And boy were there a bunch! 2,982 5 star reviews!

Here are some of the stand-out reviews:

After reading so many positive reviews, I knew that FinallyFresh was my answer.

I ordered a box.

The moment it arrived in the mail, I drove over to my mom’s house to see if they would work to clean her washing machine.

After it ran, was the moment of truth – would the washing machine still smell? I went over, leaned down, and took a big breathe.

It smelled fresh and clean! The was a washing machine is supposed to smell.

I threw in a load of my laundry and went it was done, it smelled still smelled good!

FinallyFresh had scrubbed the inside of the washing machine, removing any residue of mold or bacteria.

My mom then did a load of her laundry and was impressed too.

But she said the real test would be if the smell was still gone in a week.

It was! The smell was still gone a month later, but just in case I ran the machine again with another FinallyFresh. The box says for best results, use it once a month – so easy.

I’m so happy with FinallyFresh. It saved me and my family from smelling gross and me from having to go to the laundromat.

FinallyFresh is currently offering a 50% off discount in recognition of World Health month, so don’t wait. I ordered a 2 years supply (which actually didn’t cost very much at all!)
